1. Information We Collect

When you place an order, we collect the information we need to get your Telly Tale to you: your name, email address, and shipping address. Payment information is processed securely by Shopify, our store platform. We never see or store your full card details.

The other kind of information involved is the audio recordings you create on the device. Those are yours. They are stored locally on the recording device or in the companion app on your own phone or computer. Telly Tale does not collect, receive, transmit, or store your recordings. Ever.

2. Audio Recordings

Every message recorded on a Telly Tale stays on the recording device and on your own devices. Nothing is uploaded to us or to any Telly Tale server.

With the USB version, recordings are stored on the recording device itself, and you listen by connecting it to your computer. With the Bluetooth version, the device connects to the SoniNote app on your phone, and recordings are managed there. In both cases, you control the recordings from start to finish. Telly Tale has no access to them.

3. Children's Privacy

Telly Tale does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The device is designed to be purchased, set up, and supervised by a parent, teacher, or responsible adult, and there are no child accounts, logins, or profiles of any kind.

Because recordings remain on your own device, no child's voice data is ever transmitted to or stored by Telly Tale. Supervising adults are responsible for how the device is used and for obtaining any consent required in their setting, such as school or district policies.

4. How We Use Information

We use your order information to fulfill and ship your purchase, provide customer support, and send you the digital curriculum that comes with your Telly Tale.

We do not sell your personal information. We are a small teacher-owned business, and your trust matters more to us than anything.

5. Third-Party Services

Like most small shops, we rely on a few trusted services to run the business: Shopify hosts our store and processes payments, shipping carriers deliver your order, and email services let us stay in touch about your purchase. Each of these companies has its own privacy policy that governs how it handles your information.

If you use the Bluetooth version, note that SoniNote is a third-party app with its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review it before use.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you at any time. Just email us at tellytalephone@gmail.com and we will take care of it.

Residents of certain states may have additional privacy rights under their local laws. If that applies to you, reach out and we will do our best to honor your request.
